I know this may sound like a stupid question but I want to make sure I have the right answer on my presentation. In nuclear energy, is the waste produced/left over a byproduct of this fuel source? The question my teacher wrote down as a reference is:
*What are the byproducts of the fuel source? If one of the byproducts is carbon dioxide, how does it compare to the amount produced by gasoline? In other words, what does the stochiometry of the reaction look like?
I know nuclear energy doesn’t produce carbon dioxide, but is the waste it leaves a byproduct? Thanks!
