  1. Yes there are many Geothermal Power plants in the US Mainland. Bottlerock CA, Soda Lake NV, Steamboat NV, Brady Hot Springs NV, Beowawe NV, Raft River ID, Dixie Vally NV, Mammoth Lakes Ca, Empire CA, Stillwater NV, Wabuska NV, Desert Peak NV, and many more I don’t even know of I’m sure.
    Many more are in the process of being built as I type.

    The Hawaii Geoplant is called Puna Geothermal.

Question by my_voice_on_the_net: Is there a major geothermal power plant on mainland America ?
I believe Hawaii has or had a power plant near the major Volcano on the big southern most island ? I am wondering if any attempts to harness geothermal power has been made on the American mainland ? At Mount Saint Helen’s for example ?

Yes…in California, Nevada, etc. Lot of stuff in the West.
