I wear a suit and tie! Gah! The small travelling exhibit from the Beograd Tesla Museum made a stop in downtown Vancouver BC, at the BC Hydro corporate offices. See www.teslavancouver2006.com During the opening we performed the dry-ice-high-voltage demonstration of the particle streams (possibly) the phenomenon behind his “Death Ray” claims. Video footage also includes “egg of columbus” and other Tesla devices. Note: Trolls & spammers blocked immediately. Zero tolerance.

No, it was introduced by a Czech writer Karel Czapek in his 1920 play “Rossum’s Universal Robots.” Czech is a similar Slavic language, but it is not Serbian language. In Czech, “robota” means hard labor, or compulsory labor. In Serbian and Croatian, we sometimes say “rabota” which means “work,” but the very same word “rabota” (работа in cyrillic) means “work” or “job” in Russian (also a Slavic language). The consensus is that Czapek coined the word “robot” first.
@ufaxx I heard a rumor that Tesla created the word “Robot.” Is not robot a serbian word for worker?
you are right, but the machine the mythubusters build had the same purpose. u are 100% right, it wasnt the same, but it proved that tesla was actually right.
sorry if my grammar sucks XD
> mythbusters did an episode
Note that Tesla’s device wasn’t a “shaker,” it was more like a steam-powered loudspeaker, and it operated up in the low audio frequencies (at a few hundred Hz.)
If Mythbusters didn’t follow Tesla’s patent, and if it wasn’t tuned to a sharp audio resonance of the bridge, then Mythbusters didn’t actually test Tesla’s claim.
Tesla’s original Manhattan earthquake may have been an “acoustic fluidized bed” effect involving soil liquifaction.
_____Look at 0:29. Is that a MALE or a FEMALE. No, this is not talking about that rather large human standing to the far left. That is clearly an alien. This is in reference to the human which waves to the camera. The high-pitched voice and lack of facial hair is clearly indicative of a female member of the species. However, in that female humans may at times mutate and spout facial hair and how not all males possess it, the question remains open. Capture and dissection are recommended.
did u guys hear about the tesla earthquake machine? mythbusters did an episode about it. great episode and amazing results.
If someone is realy interesting (technicaly) in Tesla’s invention, my thoughts can be found on: “Nikola Tesla and My Thoughts” (google it) and it has lot of interesting ideas like Tesla’s combustion engine, Energy of space, Flying machine, Magnetic linear movement, Plasma on aluminum in water, Quantization of gravitation, Tesla’s energy transmitter, Tesla’s style windmill and other interesting stuff.
There is a large Tesla Coil in the Tesla Museum here, in Beograd, Serbia. It’s been there for several decades. Has a handmade capacitor bank and, as far as I know, it still works and can lit the fluo-tubes several meters away. If You ever come to Belgrade, the museum is in the center of the city, You can’t miss it. There are many interesting Tesla stuff there, besides the sparking coils :) Pity nobody is researching his notes… BTW, did You know “tesla” is a woodworking tool (in Serbian) :)
Tesla’s lab..Wardenclyffe is in danger of demolition as the property is up for sale. We need to establish it’s TRUE landmark status..NOW! PLEASE join The Tesla Science Museum..The Long Island Wireless Historical Society..as well as other historical societies..Shoreham Civic Association and Tesla enthusiasts at a demonstration: Saturday May 30th at 10am AT the lab on Route 25a and Tesla St. in Shoreham NY. The lab is also a brilliant design of architect Sanford White. You CAN make a difference!
if only thomas Edison didnt try to stop tesla. he was getting in teslas way. :(
I WAS NEAR THERE THE OTHER DAY!
This is awesome =) Thanks for posting!
wow nikola tesla was amazing…i mean imagine if he hadn’t existed…could you picture the world without television??????????
As far as I know, that TC was built by the Tesla Museum in Beograd Serbia. The power transformer looks like an un-potted neon type.
Also I noticed that the huge current pulses are slowly eating a slot across the narrow neck of copper foils leading to each capacitor plate. Same fissure-growth effect as with CDROM in microwave oven.
Uh, oh man, I wanted to see more of that tesla coil. It’s the most interesting looking small coil I’ve seen, not as messy looking as the others. I wonder what kind of transformer that is. looks like something from a stereo system…
A genuine device would be cool. Don’t build a huge one, then throw one half in deep ocean! The water pressure miles down would create a terrible weapon. Or stick a steel I-beam in, then turn off the power. It’s perfectly snipped in half. Sell them as the ultimate metal saw! A billion dollar invention. You could cut battleships in pieces. Or make sliced ham or titanium foil by turning it on and off rapidly, then push a block.
Of course it is, its just an example of Tesla’s light wall effect and teleportation. Seriously though, check it out and read up!
> have you all checked out the tesla teleportaion vid
That’s an advertisement for a website about magicians and special effects. It’s a video trick. If you don’t believe that they’re tricking you, then try building the device and see if it works.
have you all checked out the tesla teleportaion vid it is amazing look at it
This is the greatest genius of electricity, i can’t imagine a modern world without him, he suplied energy for millions.
the fifth image is the Tesla Turbine.
what was that high voltage thing with the paper please explain. it looks like the people controled it with their hands ???
sentrifugal pump?
Where’s da kaboom
does anyone know what that turbine shaped thing in the fifth picture is and what its called?
gr8 video on a gr8 man ..thanx for that
