The world needs a new source of energy, an unspillable source.

  1. There are no BP stations in Arizona, here we have their wholy owned ARCO stations and AM/PM which sell BP gas.
Boycott BP, ARCO and AM/PM forever or until BP bankrupts and stations refuse to deal with or sell BP gas.

  2. @workwillfreeyou you’re welcome… and you’re right; so far, no ethics or accountability in sight.

  3. Thanks Deb, This disaster is a barometer for how all corporation and governments behave and think. No ethics or accountability.

  4. @centervilletn Great analogy. The government is sitting at the head of the table. Surely BP, HAL and Transocean are players in this global catastrophe. However, the inept policies of this government created the conditions for this happen though.

So while the oil platform collapsed – it merely mirrors the collapse of the political structure.

  5. @iknownothingnow

When they say “Top Kill” didn’t work, that was intentional, it’s the lower 90% of us they are after and from where I’m sitting they are doing a damn good job.

  6. @UU361 Excellent point. After 37 days Obama says he is responsible. What does that mean? Means that we can blame him? He won’t take it. Lame Stream media is too SLICK to blame him.

Will he pay for this? Absolutely not! Americans will pay. Pay with lost jobs. Pay with depleted environment. Pay with contaminated land for years. Pay with your taxes.

So responsible means – irresponsible. It is just the opposite in the doublespeak world.

We could go a long way down this rabbit hole. I doubt he would be able to judge his own presidency as a failure, and for those pulling the strings behind the curtain maybe his intentional failure if it is that, will have been a spectacular success. I believe he only had a one term commitment and so far everything is going as planed although I could be wrong

  8. @UU361 I think you are completly right. Watching the deeds alone sais everything. But as I am somehow interested in words I also find interesting how someone chooses to set his words. He said: I’m the president, and the buck stops with me,” Isn’t it somehow far away from “I have failed as President. So hold me accountable.” ? … It is no contradiction to your statement that I try to find traces of truth in his words. He does not care and never said it.

  9. @micromilesaway

He also said the buck stops with him which really means that the buck stops with the American public who are going to get shafted for cleaning this up just like they got shafted for bailing out the bankers. Watching and see what he does, not what he says would be advisable.

  10. @UU361 If he said the ongoing leak of oil is enraging does this not necessarily mean that he himself is enraged. He always expresses very precisly what he means, you just have to listen very carefully …

  11. Other oil rigs have been destroyed, but nothing like this happened. What´s the difference here?

  12. Well. Let’s see if diverse, seemingly unrelated events bring singularity – synergistic calamity. E E E. Environment. Economy. Energy
Helplessly watch the destruction of ocean, land and air. Country size Dead Zones. Oil residue rain. Unprecedented wild life torturous death. Earthquakes, Volcanoes, Floods, Hurricanes, Fires
M2, M3 NEGATIVE money supply. Cascading sovereign debt implosions
Addicted oil based civilization. Fighting of wars and the new restricted supply without alternatives

  13. has any body seen the oil rig laying under water in the deep sea?? Should be on top of the crack woud it not?

  14. This is disheartening news . . . I actually held out some hope for the top-kill solution. 19,000 barrels a day – that’s in the neighborhood of 800,000 gallons of oil. Converted to gasoline, that could be around 375,000 gallons of gas each day – enough to power 1,000,000 cars getting 25 mpg average about 9 miles daily. However the math is done – what a mess.

  15. Only the relief wells will work…maybe. It’s very deep with lots of pressure. I wouldn’t trust these two people to pick up my garbage. LOL. Thanks deb.

  16. Obama says ongoing leak of oil is ‘enraging’

Seems like he was “enraged” at the banker bonuses too, better watch you wallet.

  17. that guy looks like a george bush clone. Also at this point BP is NOT to blame and the reason why is – Obama said he and the governement is in charge and fully in control and all blame goes to him.
