Question by Andy: Petroleum Engineers: Technical information on Louisiana oil spill?
What is a good website for technical information on the Louisiana oil spill? I would like to see good drawings or photos. Also: pressure and flow information at the pipe. How many pipe breaks are there?

Not sure on the pressure, but the next step is to try something called “top kill” which means pumping thick, viscous fluid into the site of the leak to stop the flow so the well can then be sealed with cement.
However, it’s never been tried at such depths (5000 ft underwater). It worked on above ground wells in the Middle East, but who knows.
Here’s for hoping!
Oh, and look on this site at the youtube video for pics: http://bpoilnews.com/
