  1. The sound pollution is minimal. The gentle swooshing of the blades is enough to put me to sleep.

  2. Thanks for the video. It helps one learn about wind turbines and its working. Wind turbines output voltages range from 480 volts to 690 volts. Wind turbines come in many shapes and sizes. Transformer company, Pacific Crest Transformers has articles on wind power.

  3. Hey, check out my website at ScientificallyGreener(Dot) com and get all the new and improved Equipments to build or buy your own solar panels and wind energy turbine systems ScientificallyGreener(Dot) com is a website that sells the most modern environmental products available

  4. Agreed, The towers are almost always steel. Also, the generator is ‘very simple’ so he says. Basic generators, yes, Doubly Fed Induction Generators (DFIGs) are not. If you are not using a DFIG then you need an inverter too.
Also energy is not ‘removed’ from the air, it is converted to heat and electrical energy.

  5. wind turbine towers are never made of concrete thats steel. I build them and you are a dumbass, sorry but i don’t know how else to describe you.

  6. just watched some near my home town the other day. some seagulls came in too low and boy u should have seen the mess on the other side with wings missing and heads lopped off….i guess u get the picture…..needless to say we had a free meal that night and it tasted better than the local kfc ;-)

  7. They also kill birds!!! Solar energy does not kill birds and does not need as much maintinence.

Physical Science : How Do Wind Turbines Work?

Wind turbines generate electricity through the use of an electric generator that is run by a gear box. Find out how electricity moves down a wind turbine tower and into an electric grid withinformation from a science teacher in this free video on physical science lessons.
