I would like to try one myself, but i’m not sure if it is really worth it or it is easy for people who doesn’t have the best knowledge on electricity/electronics.

You need a power source, like wind or a running stream of water or something that can create mechanical energy without effort by you to get enough electricity from a magneto to power home appliances. You can hook up a magneto to an exercise bike or something like that an make a modest amount of electrical energy you could store in a 12 volt battery to run lights if you want to get up and go to the bathroom in the dark or something, but in terms of running a refrigerator or a TV or something, you’ll need wind or water. The other option of course is solar panels
