  1. Maybe the oil is harming your equipment in some way? You can’t feed your family. The fish count will continue to be low for many years, maybe you have to move or find another job?

  2. It coated the fowl with dirty crude oil and it was heart breaking to see.
Oil washed up on shore, ruining the shoreline and creating a mess.
Oil is not easy to clean off anything.
The slick spread out hundreds of miles and affected all economies that were near or on the shore.
It affected economies that were not even in fishing such as suppliers and customers who received no fish for months.
The smell of dead carcasses was over powering.

Question about the Exxon Valdez oil spill?

Me and my group are participating in a debate at school. We are playing as fishermen, stating how the oil spill affected us.
I’ve already come up with this.

It impacted our income
It lowered how much food we were getting
And I also have reasons why Exxon shouldn’t be sued and such but I need more opinions on the Fishermen.
Thank you.
