The world needs a new source of energy, an unspillable source.

  1. Not sure about cfls but there are harmful chemicals in the food. They aren’t necessary when we can buy organic. The chemicals affected my daughter so badly that she ended up in the hospital. So, yes I am afraid of the harmful products found in produce. And yes, I do wash my produce. There are still things found inside. Hormones have been used on cows to help them produce more milk. If I drink regular milk I get headaches and terrible periods. If I drink organic it doesn’t happen. It does affect people. Our organic chicken eggs do not affect my daughter but the store bought eggs do. Sounds like you aren’t as sensitive but in this family we are. Before you judge others, you might want to ask some questions. I wasn’t aware of these things either until I had a daughter who became very ill. I don’t think it’s a conspiracy and I don’t think we are getting dumber. I think we are learning the truth. We need to stick to the things closest to the earth and quit messing with everything.

  2. I think it’s a little bit of both!!

I make my kids watch that movie Idiocracy – it’s seems such a stupid movie but in actuality alot more prophectic than we may realize.

I’m not a bandwagon kind of girl and for me, like I’ve said, my 87 year old grandmother might have well invented the so called “going green.” She resuses bread bags as ziplocs, repairs things when they break and sends products back that have lifetime warranties instead of throwing them away plus she keeps her paid-for cars until they actually to wear out. Oh, and she’s always had a garden in the backyard in the suburbs.

    HE….LO!

All in all, it’s the big companies who need to curb their waste and as long as government has politicians with their palms out, it will never happen.

No, people just don’t get it. We all do what we’re told.

  3. LOL! We trifle with the composting and sort our garbage so it can get recycled, drive exp. cars due to all the emissions protection and the whole time China is popping in a coal plant every week.
Don’t get me started on the massive Syncrude project in Northern Canada. Jobs are jobs and good for the politician too. How can it be refused? When feeding your family is a priority you’ll join up to serve or you’ll cash in on the big game in oil. Gov’t needs to be more supportive of green initiatives like making those turbines and developing solar panels and researching the new tecnologies like bio-mass and hydrogen fuel cars.
Shakes had it right when he said -Oh, what a tangled web we weave.-

  4. i think its a load s***. anyone who is against it is right. is it more liberal or communist? i think the first answerer is a strong republican.(or rich celebrity)

Serious question about the green movement?

why? cfls have been around since 1975 and fluorescent lamps since 1951. why are people just now realizing the energy efficiency of these lamps and why are people buying organic? ORGANIC! if you’re scared of chemicals, wash your produce. scared of hormones? GO VEGETARIAN!
Government conspiracy or are we just getting dumber?
