4. Hi, why not just go right from the solar panels to the inverter and if that were not enough, then straight into some sort of a step up box like a transformer then right into your home breaker box boosting the power all the way as if it were coming in from the pole.

16. Great videos about solar energy, they really inspired me. Today I bought 2 used 30W solar panels for a real bargain, including a charger and a 12VDC -> 220VAC inverter. Set parallel they should do 12V at 5Amps max. What would be a good but cheap battery to use: a 60 Ah car battery could do it?
    And how can I calculate or estimate the amount of Watts stored in the battery?

17. Super that i can find this information and see at the same time how you are doing it …Thanks ! I am looking for a solar system that i can take to Kenia to a village where there is hardly any electricity yet , so to be able to stay there i need at least a 45 watt system and I want to take some of it with me in the plane (if they will let me.)

18. Awsome instruction Dan! I have a 1,400 sq ft home and like to know how much of those solar panels & batteries do I need to purchase to go 1/2 off grid? I’d preffer go 100% off grid so if you can sum that up aswell it’ll be great. Hey and by the way thanks for your video inputs.
