The world needs a new source of energy, an unspillable source.

  1. Dan, I know your busy, however would you please tell us if the flywheel is pressed on or is it removable. Thank you…

  2. @westkan

Very close! Black does transfer energy better, but not just to the air. It emits energy into space and in fact, would be the only way to work well in outer space as there is no atmosphere. In that case the only way to release energy is via radiated energy (low frequency light which is infrared and below).

  3. @TaylorHolmes
    WRONG dude.
Heatsinks work BEST when black. A little basic physics would help you a lot.

A black body represents a perfect heak sink AND absorber. A silver heatsink would of course reflect heat and only dissipate via convection. However, a black heatsink dissipates heat by both convection AND emissivity. i.e. radiation. Since the sun is NOT focused on the heatsink, by being black, it actually cools much better than if it were reflective.

A fan would use more energy than saved.

  4. i really dont get how anyone could thumb this down heres a bloke trying to do something very important huge thumbs up champ thank tuk for dudes like you respect”

  5. Dan, I’m amazed at all the stuff you do. No where else do I learn so much.

  6. @rock3tcat Regular 2 stroke engines can be a good starting point also compressors. It requires some machine shop work. I have taken almost every engine I have owned apart and regular engines seem to be an easy conversion. I NEED A MACHINE SHOP:-)

  7. I also have a question for you Dan:

What can you recommend as the most reasonable material to construct an Alpha-Type Stirling engine from. Because I have made a design based on aluminium and I’m afraid that with my budget that could become too expensive to cast or cnc machine it.

I would really appreciate it if you would give me some suggestions.

    Cheers :D

  8. so what does it actually do? whats it used for and where do you get one from??? thanks Abz

  9. I read through all the comments and saw no one comment on the Morse code at 48sec. Was wondering why it was there. I got it as “BCUTA0(ZERO)WBC5?

  10. @Ramiromasters that is what I’m investigating. There are some practical(atleast in the city) compresses air cars. Why not have some solar or wind powered pumping stations? why not? hehe I want to try it. save big energy/money if you can make it reliable.

  11. ни хуя не ясно из этого видео. Тема использования солнца не раскрыта

  12. Hey why not use the energy to vaporize some liquid and, use the pressure to compress air! then use the rest of the day to make as many air tanks as you can to use. I heard there is a compress air car out there, don’t see why not a generator.

  13. What I would like to see is a fresnel lens “flashlight” of sorts that focuses a beam hot enough to start up a stirling engine, which in turn is hooked up to a small generator motor that re-charges the batteries in the flashlight, keeping it going, while pulling a second load to power something else as well. It would be very interesting to see how long it would run, given that there is no such thing as “perpetual free energy”.

  14. you could use this to charge the batteries that power your house, during the day.

  15. dang! I was workin’ on this idea grumble grumble

oh well on to the next idea: compressed CO2 in a clear bottle under the Sun’s heat….shhhhhh!

really great design guys! 5*s! maybe hook it to an air compressor and run moters from the compressed air and create a storage capability…just a thought…thanks again!

  16. lol 2 late for me to say but happy newyear! (soon)((by the time u see this is probaqblu will be

STIRLING ENGINE SOLAR POWER FRESNEL LENS

www.greenpowerscience.com This is a new design I found, they work with a Fresnel Lens or a Parabolic Mirror. Strong and efficient for its size. A proper Fresnel Lens. Also a Dual Rotor Axial Flux Generator. Most people try a plastic reflector from the back, this is a poor option. Also if you use a standard “Dynamo” for power, you will be lucky to get 3-10 watts. Stirling engines are hindered by “COGGING” Axial Flux limits cogging. Still the overall cost and time to get a max of 40 watts. Solar Panels are by far the best option. But these are fun for sure. We have been trying different videos and had a run of experiments not going right. Also Florida is very cloudy from June – July, this video took 4 hours to shoot waiting for the clouds.
