Question by bucktoui: “Support Our Troops” What did you ever do to support your believe?
I think I did my part when my son were in Iraq one year and 24 days. I urge him not to go, but he had to go. So every week I make sure I send him a package of goody from toilet paper, baby wipe, sriracha sauce, Top Raman noodle, beef jerky, Vodka…. No he couldn’t consume those stuffs by himself I knew that. He share with his fellows soldiers. Sometimes the shipping cost ten time more than the package even at military discount price, for example I sent two boxes instant noodle cost me for the noodle. After he came back he lost his mind, but the Vet didn’t recognize it(he denied that he has the problem too), I take care of him(still doing it now). I am no doctor nor rich, but I knew my son and his problems. When his soldier friends come to my house I make sure they have to eat and drink. I make sure that they know that they didn’t fight for this country, but the oil and killing machine companies.
What did you do, can you tell to support our troops?
I am not ashame to be a peace lover, because I knew from the beginning this war is our choice and it is not a good choice( actually I should called a gamble). I had been in Vietnam War most of my life before I was uprooted here. I knew from that experience and I had tried my best to stop this war(wrote to Senators, and UN security council members. What I had got from war mongers was ” Treator ” Go back where you come from” etc…. Now you know who is the real treator and who is sufferring.
Obviously I can concluded that there are two kinds of person that answer my question. Thank you all.
One is the type that can step on anyone toe to get what he want. Only two or three in here.
One is the type that has shame to step on some one else toe to get what he want. Majority in here including me.
I don’t sorry for these two kinds of people, because that is the way they were born with or trainned to be one since their birth. Comparing to bee society structure, it is the same as human. They fed the same kind of lavaes with different kind of food in order to reproduce, queen, prince, and worker. The one who has the whole family in the arm forces, and the one who called me a loser either born or raised to be boss or princes. They are willing to step on anyone toe to get what they wanted without shame. Germany before WWII did the same thing(as USA) by invading Holland and Poland no shame on earth can stop them. The result we got WWII. Are we heading the same way now?

I have lived in two military towns, first CFB Greenwood where I was born and then CFB Trenton. I have a great respect for the troops of any country, regardless of their political orientation. The soldiers are the ones who are brave enough to go out in harms way, with the belief that they are bettering their country or helping others. Whether you’re Canadian, American, Russian or Iranian, it’s all the same. You should have respect for the majority of soldiers.
I might join the Canadian Armed Forces after college. Not sure.
