We’ll have TIE Fighters before you know it.
@urna55 haha, exactly. They dont move much.
@AUserThatsNotTaken Nope, It’s in use on a few satellites.
This is a very information uplifting video. Unfortunately the video seeing is very down quality. Can you send up a more picture clearer video? Thanking you muchly.
@ExploringBeyond No, looks closer to a NES game.
i could run faster then what this engine’s capable of
this looks as pixelated as an SNES game. would it be fitting to say “all your base are belong to us”?
I thought they gave up on this lol.
Twas like getting the passengers to blow out the back of a plane through straws. USELESS
Shitty video quality…but hey, it was made in 1998..
@SumadinBedak That is not a picture with a blue light, that is actual Ion Drive technology used by NASA!
As they say…
“You took the words right out of my mouth” :)
A waste of bandwidth for an amazing and real technology.
What an amazingly shitty video for an incredible, and real, technology.
1998? lol…
the Idea came up in 1906 and then the first experiments were conducted in 1916-1917… soo this is quite old technology….
actually The Russians created the more efficient version, which is this one in the video. The Americans, i wouldn’t say stole, but examined the Russian’s version and developed their own version.
we are drunks!! americans love to have fun
not as much. we get alot of publicity on it though
Have you been to Russia. And I dunno if you noticed but Americans drink alot too
no matter what anyone says…thank you for the heart attack of laughter you gave me!!!!
why do i have a felling that’s a picture with added blue liht??
Most advanced technologies don’t come out for decades. What we call “futuristic” technology when produced is actually ages old.
im pretty sure were alot fucking smarter than the russians. the counrty is fucking ruined by drinking
Amazing- a future technology filmed in a prehistoric Majic Lantern video quality !!
I remember reading about ion engines in an old science book when I was in junior high. Fascinating stuff.
