Question by MoAwwami: Wave and Solar Energy to electricty?
i have homework on energy sources producing electricity.
I got stuck on wave and tidal. please describe how wave and tidal energy is used to
produce electricity. in a flow chart style with the form of energy under. KE–Kinetic Energy
here is the example of coal
coal burned> heats water to steam> steam turns turbine> turbine turns generator >Makes electricity
chemical > thermal > KE of steam > KE of turbine&generator> electrical
” makes electricity” should be on the line above it
*****WAVES not tidal energy ( i know tidal energy)*****
sorry not Waves and Solar (wrote tidal by mistake)
Sorry , Waves and solar (delete not)

So a Tidal energy generation is similar to a wind turbine. Shifting tides are caused by the moon, the energy is harnessed by using turbines to be rotated by the moving water.
Moon controls tides (moving water)> Moving Water Turns Turbine> Turbine Turns Generator > Makes Electricity.
Gravitational > KE of Water > KE of Turbine & Generator > Electrical.
