Well for the most part we have good relations with all the EU countries (except Slovenia-Ljubljanska Bank issue and border dispute which will be settled in the court) and we have good relations with all the rest of the European countries except Serbia (the war of 1991-1997. is obv. an issue as well as not paying war reparations, returning the remains of those Croatians who were captured and killed in Serbia, plundered cultural treasures, their new president etc.). Oh and off the record, Croatians don’t really like the UK foreign policy and their meddling and arrogance but it is not diplomatic to say as much so we pretend all is well and fine. :)
Strained relations are with Syria at the moment (Croatian oil fields there were evacuated because our national oil company didn’t want to have its employees hurt), with Iran it is a bit more complicated because we were one of the few European countries they had good relations with but our government endorsed the oil embargo so things are a bit fluid at the moment. As for the rest of the world positive relations.
In terms of who do we consider to be friendly nations (as in close friends and supporters) Austria, Hungary, Poland, Chile and Argentina would be the top 5 :) Hope this helped
