Nikola Tesla and other inventors have made efficiant generators that would and could help abolish use of fossil fuels to power the world. Can anyone tell me of other inventors and their generators who the government and/or other companies have surpressed from becoming an asset to the economy and enviroment?

Fluidized bed generator for allothermic gasification of coal

And the Tucker automobile. A trunk engine that got over 40 mpg back in the days when the senate could block anything.
this is a really good read!
Tesla’s generator was not suppressed. It was simply in competition with Edison’s DC system. In the long run, the AC system won hands down.
None of Tesla’s inventions could eliminate the need for fossil fuels. His work was always on the driven equiment (the generator) not the driver where the energy is consumed. Even with a 100 % efficient generator there would still be a need for a driver using steam, natural gas, or hydro power.
As to people like Tucker being supressed, that is just so much Hollywood propaganda. I can remember when his car came out. It was just another car with an extra light in the front. His design was not revolutionary or extra efficient. Tucker was nothing more than a big promoter with lots of talk and nothing new to deliver.
