In short, they are going to try to plug the pipe with concrete.
The method is to pump clay into the pipe with enough pressure to push back the oil. The clay is so thick that the high-pressure oil will not push it back out, leaving enough time for the concrete to set. One problem that can arise is a failure when pumping the clay and concrete to the pipe, which is 5000 feet below the water surface. Another problem could be that the pipe itself is damaged in too many places and cannot be filled with concrete. The most troubling problem is that the plug could not go deep enough and be exploded out of the pipe from the pressure of the oil, leaving a much more ragged end, impossible to isolate.

I call Obama being on tv every freakin day “Top Kill” !!!!!!
The pressure of the mud column going into the well is made greater than the pressure of the oil trying to flow out. Mud pressure is increased by adding weighting materials such as barite or galena.
hopefully the end to all this madness
