Mine is Global heating is a huge game played on us that us Turks and the rest of the musulman world down south will grill soon.On the otherhand Europe and Russia will heat up more so they could grow their own organic tomatoes spend less energy to heat their homes.

That the world is after Turkey’s boron. Oh yeah, “The Fifth Element”–that must be about Turkey.
Another one that someone mentioned on Yahoo! Answers in pure seriousness–that Westerners dumped concrete all over Southeastern Turkey to hide hydrocarbons deposits.
The bronze medal goes to the one claiming “Aydin Dogan is Vehbi Koc’s love child.”
My favorite is that, due to the American traditions at Thanksgiving, there will be no turkey left in 3 years.

I know, I know, I am not funny, but when conspiracy theories draw a parallel to political events, I can’t help but shudder.

Ah here’s my favorite one:
US fools the Kurds into declaring an independent Kurdish state in northern Iraq, showing part of Turkey as theirs on the map. Turkish army crosses the border a few kms. US replies by dropping a cruise missile on them. War is declared between Turkey and the US. American missiles explode over Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir etc. causing an outrage among the Turks. Americans use their technology to immobilize the Turkish Army. They seem successful in the beginning. But Turkey refuses to bow and apologize, so they decide to send paratroopers. US paratroopers (Delta force, marines etc. etc.) land in the big cities of Turkey occupying some important districts while US infantry crosses the border from Syria and moves into Anatolia. Suddenly the Americans encounter an unexpected resistance. Turkish militia (organized and armed by the once hated Turkish Gladio), start a guerilla warfare in the streets of big cities, in the countryside, everywhere. The American army is fast losing lives. They are shocked at the intense resistance. They were hoping Kurds in the south east would support them, but what a shock! Kurdish citizens of Turkey join the Turkish militia in defending their home. In a couple of weeks, the US army begins to face defeat, something they have never seen, not even in Viet Nam. EU is shocked and comes to the point of disintegration. EU citizens of Turkish origin protest in the streets in Germany, UK, Belgium, Holland and France. Governments resign. Russia decides to take a role in this new conflict and declares full support to Turkey. Greece and Bulgaria also take sides with Turkey. USA realizes her plans and ambitions for the Middle East have come to an end. Under the pressure of Russia and Turkish rifles, they call for a cease fire and talks resume in Switzerland. EU parliament takes a unanimous decision to approve Turkey’s full membership. Turkey puts down some special conditions. Unless they agree to them, she will not join the EU. Russia and the Slavic states have secret talks with Turkey to establish a new Eastern European Union under the leadership of Russia and Turkey.
