  1. and WHY were Pubs Ok with it THEN

    but not NOW?!

“Conservatives” are ignorant, hateful, lying, hypocrites!!!!

  2. The same as mine is now. I don’t like it no matter who orders it. I’m kind of into things like clean oceans, and living fish. I’m against things like oil spills. I’m just funny that way.

  3. They would have lost control of bodily functions and dropped their food stamps.

  4. Have you heard the follow up from Obama. All profits will goto the worthless lazy welfare public housing trash.

  5. I’m just as pissed off about it now, as I was when Bush was discussing it. I don’t understand it, especially when the people drilling won’t agree to use it for American storage, and just want to deal it on the open market. They just want money, and will rape our environment to do it.

  6. in this economic climate, he would probably have not gotten very much resistance.

  7. Your question makes no sense. It has othing to do with who is President. It has to do with our economy & the damage it will bring & what if we don’t do it…we must live in the present to make decisions. What if Lincoln is not going to make sense cause everything was different when Lincoln was President. I feel like I should atleast be getting a teacher\’s salary for answering all this rep. questions that are answered over & over again. Do you think you can learn or are you just trolling?

  8. erm this already happened you don’t remember this NO PLZ GOD NO NOT THE PLANET BUSH UR A MONSTER

  9. outrage and conspiracy theories ? you mean government working as intended by the founding fathers ? don’t you think your being a drama queen ?

  10. Well we needed more refinery’s and the liberals did not want any more refinery’s built here.
they did not want the Alaska pipe line ( because of the environmentalists) . they said it would kill all the wildlife around it,in actuality the wildlife thrived because it was warmer around the pipe line and there was more to eat. ( for the animals that is)

  11. When crude was closing in on $150 per barrel, Bush lifted the executive order placed by Clinton on drilling and the price of oil dropped the below $50. The Congress however never allowed the drilling or the new nuclear plants proposed by Bush. Obama has resurrected the nuclear plant option and now the oil drilling. He is raising political capital for November. After November, if still a Democrat congress, the legislation will get tabled. There was very little mention of the lifting of the order and Obama put it back on once in office. He still has to get Congress to approve the move and lift the moratorium.

  12. Uh… Bush did propose a comprehensive energy plan that included expansion of oil drilling as well as developing alternative fuel and energy sources.

And, yes, the Dems and Libs did have a hissy fit and got their panties in a twist.

  13. Dumb question they would oppose any thing Bush Proposed including getting us out of debt and that the democrat mortgage policies would hurt our economy, 19 times and they called Bush a racist.

  14. There would have been mass demonstrations, marches , speeches and all sorts of cries for Bush’s impeachment

  15. He did propose it and there was a lot of outrage over it. So it did not happen.

I will agree with MOM though in this respect if they are not drilling to help just the American people and selling it on the open market than I would rather not see it done either.

The drilling is supposed to help reduce our dependence on foreign oil, If he does open it up then it (if it is possible) do not think it is..
He should try to set it up so that they oil goes to America., and not sold on the market.

What would have been the Dems and Libs response had Bush proposed drilling for oil?

as Obama is now? Can you imagine the outrage and conspiracy theories that would be going on?
