  1. if it isn’t about oil, I am still waiting to hear a legitimate argument as to why we are there………

  2. The silly liberals have been saying that. Along with a lot of other nonsense. And there is no sense at all in trying to reason with them. They are an unhappy bunch.

  3. Because it was in fact and the 911 Truth Committee exposed a s a fact. A conspiracy is done secretely and that’s exactly what happened here.

  4. As Mr Vespucci has pointed out , again the HUGE brain at work my hero !! and mentor in this life his facts are accurate and his position is based on FACT not conjecture , we were all behind this process of freedom for the Iraqi people , we as a people never thought it would be a generational war to start , slide in get some work done , slide out ,, Its only now 4 yrs later that the whole truth is coming out IT WAS PLANED THIS WAY .. don’t we feel stupid as a nation , for supporting a presidential agenda until it was to late ,, Way to go King George !! U,, f-U-C-K- ed the nation again !!

  5. WHY did Richard Cheney hold SECRET meetings
in VIOLATION of US LAW and as yet not been prosecuted for the violation?

Huston, we have a problem here!

  6. Of course it was a war for oil and 9/11/01 was the modern day “Pearl Harbor” that the PNAC needed to scare the American people into allowing the Bush cabal to invade Iraq and Afghanistan. It scared them into allowing torture, wiretapping, and corruption at the highest levels.

    Mission accomplished.

  7. You are 100% correct.

All about oil as we knew and suspected, and god bless our brave soldiers who died for the profits of Exxon, Shell, BP, and the rest.

  8. we going to be coming of age soon and find out who really shot JFK we going to find out it was our government and they behind every stink bad thing in this world

  9. Some look through their prism and see reflections of their desire. It never was Solly about oil, with our troops in Afghanistan and in Iraq it was part of a squeeze play to get Iran to capitulate. Other reasons where of course Saddam’s false claims of WMD with yes hind site is 20/20 but to say Bush lied, then you would also have to say Bill Clinton lied, Hillary Clinton lied, and many many more democrats as well. We had every LEGAL right to use force because of the MANY UN resolutions Saddam consistently violated. The Dem’s are pretty upset that the surge is working and true success is within our grasp. Shame on the left for politicizing the war for political gain.

  10. I actually disagree, and think that the war was about promoting democracy, and not about oil (but not about WMDs, either.)
However, as you pointed out, there’s actually some evidence that the war was about oil, which makes the idea something more than a mere “conspiracy theory.”

  11. The term Conspiracy Theory is usually thrown around by those who are too lazy to provide a counterargument to your assertion.

Iraq was not about oil though. The idea behind it was to build a massive Embassy/military base there so we can concentrate on turning the middle east into an Arabian Union. Next step…take out the powerful govt’s who oppose it. This is why we want to go after Iran even though they are not a threat to us. Then Syria will be next.

It took forty-some years to create the European Union. Don’t be surprised if it takes just as long to form the Arabian Union. Look up the SPP. The foundation for the North American Union is being built. The master plan involves establishing a one world government. By creating all these unions across the world, they will be able to merge them all together under the one government in easier fashion.

This is the dream of the Rockefeller family and is certainly being implemented.

….THAT is not a theory, but indeed a conspiracy.

  12. the companies would help Iraqi oil managers overhaul decrepit operations and modernize their equipment in the hope of boosting Iraq’s output by about 500,000 barrels a day – an increase of nearly 20% over the best days the Iraqi industry has had since the U.S.-led invasion in March 2003…
    =
At the current sky-high oil prices, that could bring in billions more every week for the Iraq government, which sorely needs funds to rebuild the country.
    =
This story is about companies. not government. It’s about correcting sadaams mistake nationalizing his oil production.
It’s a win-win for all concerned world wide.
Knowone said there wasn’t going to be benifits of Iraqi freedom.
They said it wasn’t the reason for war.
Subtle differences conspiricy theorists can’t understand.

  13. To any intelligent, educated, knowledgeable person there was/is NO conspiracy theory whatsoever involving the US’s crime against humanity in Iraq.

There is NO CONSPIRACY and the FACT that the US”S TOTAL PRESENCE IN THE MIDDLE EAST FOR THE PAST CENTURY IS ALL AND ONLY ABOUT OIL OIL OIL OIL OIL .

In 1953 the US committed a horrid atrocity in Iran when it destroyed the DEMOCRATICALLY ELECTED GOVERNMENT OF IRAN and ended the FREEDOM AND LIBERTY of Iranians ALL BECAUSE AND FOR OIL OIL OIL OIL .

    http://www.iranchamber.com/history/coup53/coup53p1.php

After 9/11 Bush and the fascist neo-cons ,decided to USE 9/11 to carry out one of their plans which was to secure long term control over a huge oil supply and so they DELIBERATELY LIED about Iraq having WMD (the evidence to date points clearly to the fact that Bush at al blew the possibility of WMD all out of proportion and by doing so LIED ) and blaming Saddam for 9/11 which of course was a pile of CRAP.

As virtually every respected expert agrees with ,the Iraqi atrocity has NOTHING TO DO WITH BRINGING DEMOCRACY AND BRINGING FREEDOM AND LIBERTY TO IRAQIs but everything to do with EXACTLY what the US is now attempting to do and that is to force the Iraqi government
to first allow US bases in Iraq for the long term and then make exclusive deals with the WESTERN oil companies that will then control Iraqi oil.

And the good little IGNORANT American Christians whine about WHY DO THEY HATE US SO MUCH .Boy,if any country even tried to do to the US what the US did to Iran in 1953,the US would simply carpet bomb said country out of existence so why are the monumentally hypocritical and morally bankrupt Americans so surprised that Iran and the Arab/Muslims (most of the people not the dictatorships that rule most of these countries) what to do to the US what the US has done to them and so many others.

Who was it that called it a “Conspiracy Theory” that the U.S. Invasion/Occupation was about Oil?

“After five grueling years of war, Iraq’s most cherished prize – its mammoth hydrocarbon reserves – might finally be within reach of Western oil companies. Exxon Mobil, Shell, Total and BP appear set to win no-bid contracts allowing them to work in some of Iraq’s rich oil fields. The negotiations between Iraqi officials and those companies, first reported in Thursday’s New York Times, are for “technical support agreements” for two years and renewable for a third, rather than for lucrative contracts to pump oil out of the ground. Under the envisaged deals, the companies would help Iraqi oil managers overhaul decrepit operations and modernize their equipment in the hope of boosting Iraq’s output by about 500,000 barrels a day – an increase of nearly 20% over the best days the Iraqi industry has had since the U.S.-led invasion in March 2003…
At the current sky-high oil prices, that could bring in billions more every week for the Iraq government, which sorely needs funds to rebuild the country. And the companies, which had for decades been partners in the Iraq Petroleum Corporation before Saddam Hussein nationalized the industry, would tentatively return to some of the biggest oil fields on the planet. Such arrangements, the corporations hope, will position them to seek long-term access to proven reserves that are second only to Saudi Arabia’s.”

Helium…you must have inhaled some:
“Other reasons where of course Saddam’s false claims of WMD” LIE

Reality on Feb. 26, 2003 Saddam Hussein was interviewed by Dan Rather on 60 Minutes II:

RATHER: Saddam also rejected Bush administration allegations that besides the missile delivery system, he still has weapons of mass destruction.

HUSSEIN: I think America and the world also knows that Iraq no longer has the weapons. And I believe the mobilization that’s been done was, in fact, done partly to cover the huge lie that was being waged against Iraq about chemical, biological and nuclear weapons. That is why, when you talk about such missiles, these missiles have been destroyed. There are no missiles that are contrary to the prescription of the United Nations in Iraq. They are no longer there.

When the U.S. and the U.K. Invaded Iraq without U.N. Security Council Approval-It was a Violation of the U.N. Charter
ANTI-SOC-just like the 1953 Iranian coup d’état that saw the overthrow of the democratically-elected administration of Iranian Prime Minister Mohammed Mosaddeq and his cabinet from power by British and American intelligence operatives working together with Iranian agents was about ending Mosaddeq’s nationalization of the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company, which became the British Petroleum Company (BP) in 1954.
The U.S. Goverment’s “National Interests” is the Corporate interests. Thomas Friedman in a moment of candor pointed out: “The hidden hand of the market will never work without the hidden fist. McDonald’s cannot flourish without McDonnell-Douglas, the designer of the F15, and the hidden fist that keeps the world safe for Silicon Valley’s technology is called the United States Army, Airforce, Navy and Marine Corps.”
