Do the dimensionless constants for a centrifugal pump apply to a conventional wind turbine as well. That is without modifying any of them in any way.(I believe both are rotodynamic machines, so in my mind it should).
If it did though, what would happen to the Head parameter. I know that turbines are classed as impulse or reaction turbines. So a Axial wind turbine is a impulse turbine (correct me if I am wrong). Or am I confusing issues?
Please point me to good sources of information. I want to know how to generate multiple performance curves from a single performance curve. (like what you would do if you want to predict the effect of, say changing the speed of a centrifugal pump).
Can you use velocity diagrams to analyse a wind turbine? ( You would probably have to do it at a couple of points along the length of the blade, but if it works, then its fine. (If it doesn’t, then it is just a waste of time)
