Iraqi Women’s Bodies Are Battlefields for War Vendettas
By Kavita N. Ramdas, Global Fund for Women. Posted December 19, 2006.
The United States’ so-called “liberation” of Iraqi women has made them less free than they were under the Baathist regime, with abduction, rape, and “honor” killings now a daily reality.

The Organization of Women’s Freedom in Iraq (OWFI) recently issued a frightening report documenting the growing practice of public executions of women by Shia Militia. One of the report’s more grisly accounts was a story of a young woman dragged by a wire wound around her neck to a close-by football field and then hung to the goal post. They pierced her body with bullets. Her brother came running trying to defend his sister. He was also shot and killed. Sunni extremists are no better: OWFI members estimate that no less than 30 women are executed monthly for honor related reasons.

I’m on your side, but without reliable stats from a reliable source….this is just a story. Next time, just include the links, and let me read the document on my own.
It was much worse when Sadam was Ruling. I tell you it is a religious thing with them. And we are afraid and they are laughing.
I bet some Iraqi women would beg to differ.
Anyone who is saying that Iraqi, women are better off now is kinda wrong. I have family, and a foreign exchange student FROM iraq. She says women are treated worse than ever. She is christian and when she goes out she has to wear a muslim outfit. she can’t walk outside just for fun. They say atleast when Saddam was in power, they weren’t afriad…Idk try living in there shoes…
N O, D I S A G R E E!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
once again a liberal in need of a fact checker. saddam was in the process of ethnicly cleansing the kurds when we interverned. as the kurdish women and men wouldve been DEAD…if we had not, i think the answer is obvious…liberals, gotta love em(sic).
