Normal cars would use fuel with an efficiency of about 30%, using the fuel directly and releasing gasses into the atmosphere, which is bad.
But can it be that normal cars/especially hybrids would be better for the enviroment?
-Because an electric car uses electricity which is generated far away usually by means of burning fossil fuels(like the normal car) at lets say 30% then it is sent through kilometers of copper cable and a lot of transformers always losing some energy by resistance and THEN u charge your pretty much inificient batttery to run the elctric motor. So in the end a lot more coal has to be burned then a normal fuel car would use.
Is this correct? or am i just thinking…the ideal of electric cars would be if the power is generated from clean renewable sources(sun/wind)
