  1. a lot of projects out there claim to be DIY but then what you start looking at the skills you need to complete the project, it is something beyond what most of us are able to do.

    These solar panels are different. My aunt is 58, had never assembled anything in her life and built one following the step by step instructions. She is actually the one who told me about the site.

  2. my roommate and I decided to give this project a shot, just to see if we could build it, fully intending that i’d need help at some point but the instructions were so clear and easy to follow that I got the whole thing done and plan to build another next weekend

  9. a lot of people are probably like me thinking you need to be really handy to build your own solar panel but the instructions are so easy you really can do this

    I got the plans thinking I’d have my husband do the actual build but then I found it so easy to follow that I ended up doing it myself and surprising him with it

    i know this has made a huge difference in helping us balance our checkbook

  13. so much is said these days about redicing our carbon footprint and something like ths is an excellent way to do just that

  14. good idea and now is the perfect time to get start on a DIY project like this because then it will be all set up for summer and you will easily make your money back and then some over the summer

  15. i can remember when my parents started looking at making the house more green with solar the upfront costs were too high but with something like this, suddenly solar panels are a bargain

  16. we looked at purchasing solar panels once before but the price to have a company come out and install them was prohibitive but doing it yourself makes it so affordable
