I went to an astronomy camp a long time ago, and they said it would take like 5-10 years.

Dear Hip Doe,
With just an Ion engine, about six years. A better Idea would be a
Chemical rocket to get moving then switch to the Ion engine to keep
up the “pressure”. Also a solar sail would not use fuel. The rocket
would use fuel and lots of it but would give the spacecraft a Boost
to get started. It could be done in about six months with the booster.
Hopefully, the engineers and scientists at Penn State U. will succeed in developing the Anti-Matter Spacecraft. This will reduce a trip to Mars from 8 months to 1 month.
**Write to your favorite Astronauts to terraform a moon or planet for you. There are over 540 trained Astronauts listed. Watch the U2 and NASA collaborative video about Space.
**Write to the AUASS (The Arab Union for Astronomy and Space Sciences) to terraform a moon/planet for you. Do it now before 2012, we only have 2 years time.
an ion engine has about as much force as a peice of paper in a 1 g enviroment so it would take a while
