The world needs a new source of energy, an unspillable source.

“there is no convincing scientific evidence that human release of … [any] greenhouse gases … will … cause catastrophic heating of the Earth’s atmosphere or disruption of the Earth’s climate.”

  3. Wind Turbines kill rare birds and cause human illness because of noise – air turbulence – and shadowing. This whole industry is a eco-scam paid for by tax payers last dimes.

  4. My brother lives in that area and I’ve visited it several times. That area will benefit (although slightly).from that slight degree increase. It’s freezing in that area during night time!

  5. It is time to get rid of the SNP and vote down the suicidal referendum. Scotland’s best hope is to elect a level-headed government.

  6. Trump, You’re an idiot. I see he’s in favor of global warming. Wind turbines would surely help keep the environment clean rather than what else – oh yeah polluting coal and oil plants . This guy doesn’t know anything about this other than money and his golf coarse

  7. His own personal greed is what drives be against Wind Power. As long as it effects the view from his Golf Course in Scotland. He would be against it. Nuclear or Coal Power Plant neighboring his Golf Course, The Trump would be against that too. But he would not give a moment’s concern if they put a Power plant or Wind Turbine in your back yard. The wind is fairly constant right off the coast where Trump’s Golf course is. Ideal place for Wind Power.

  8. You’ve got some hard-core left-wing, tree-hugging hippies here. Everyone knows, or should know, wind turbines don’t make economic/ financial sense. They don’t produce enough energy, transfer enough energy to make up for their one significant costs and two ugly, loud sight. Have you every been to a wind farm, it sounds like a tornado is coming. They should rather build a nuclear facility somewhere where few people would see it. That’s energy.

  9. Trump is absolutely right, wind power is a hoax and it kills thousands of birds every year. Belgium and Holland have had wind mills for decades, and they have the highest electric rates n Europe. Wind mills produce very little power, and are very costly to maintain and repair.

  10. I believe that the color orange is destroying Donald Trump straw hair ….. when will he stop saying bullshits?

  11. Mr. Trump’s “concerns” about the wind turbines “made in China” are not about the welfare of Scotland and her people. It is about his own needs and wants… most certainly financial. Scotland certainly does not need Mr. Trump to “advise” or tell her what is best for Scotland. It is my hope that my brothers and sisters in Scotland do what more and more people in America have been doing for years now and tell Mr. Trump to go to Hell.

Wind Farms Raise Local Temperatures: New Study

Follow: @SlateViral, Facebook.com/SlateVideo Watch more: Youtube.com/slatester, SlateV.com Wind power might be touted as an energy source that helps reduce global warming, but a new study says turbines may actually be heating things up—at least at the local level. Using satellite data, researchers working in Texas have shown that wind farms have created a rise in nighttime ground air temperatures. The study, published in the journal Nature Climate Change, focused on an area in west-central Texas, which has seen a boom in the construction of wind farms in recent years. Why is the warming happening? Air further above ground, which tends to be warmer at night, was being brought down to ground level by spinning turbines. The rise in temperature–less than one degree Celsius over a decade—would likely stop along with construction. And it’s far from the kind of broad climate impact generated by fossil fuel use. But some Texas residents may be sweating a little more at night, so clean wind energy can keep us all a bit cooler.

US businessman and TV personality Donald Trump appeared before Scottish Parliament, in an attempt to convince lawmakers to shelve plans of building wind farms as a source of green energy. CBSNews.com’s Nick Dietz reports.
