  1. This guy dosent know what he is doing. Just a grant sponge.

If you way to see it done correct visit my channel and I will give you free help to get started. Algae ponds and tubes are a thing of the past.

  2. Ask for it :)
Harper our prime minister is anti green energy that has cut fundings for clean projects and such…really destroying our fresh water and farm land to the sake of greed for filth, very very destructive.
    Go and contact those scientists!

  3. I have an idea for Colombia we have the right conditions, wastewater form municipalities, sun, hot and land that is not very expensive.

  4. I am in the process of purchasing land and would definitely would like to use a good portion of it ction of algae bio diesel. However it has been difficult to get resarchers to help with the project. I have also noticed that this article is 2 years old. What has come of it? Can I contact someone to make this a reality?

  5. 10$ a gallon in 2010!!! it’s already the price we pay in france!!!
    Come on bring it here!!

  6. What is the $ cost per Gallon at this moment? Bottom line, I am just curios. I hope it beats petroleum, sooner the better.

  7. With the water waist treatment in the US wanting to come up with a different term for “toilet to tap” so they can push it through government safety laws, I can only say Please, Please, Please, make this a more viable use for waist treetment water. The idea of drinking water with the minearals that humans need already absorbed, water filled with hormones, perscription drugs, and deasese, makes me sick just thinking ablut it.

  8. I got your point Joe but this Algae Bio-Fuels have more than 20 years in develop and develop, and develop. For me in 20+ years is enough time to see is this will work or not. In other way it is a waste of time still in research if you know this will work. I found a company in US that RIGHT NOW is working for clients that want this technology and they are pretty confident that the price or the cost by you will be no more than .40-.50 cents per gal. alglenol.com Check them out and reply me

  9. The oil companies want to keep it under wraps until they convert to it so they can continue to gouge Americans at the pump with it. It will not happen because once the industry takes off, everyone will have a chance at this opportunity to be part of it. Algae grows everywhere and nobody can stop that.

  10. At the risk of sounding political, I will say this, The production will be spread out among many people and will not be exclusive to a small hand of people. These will be jobs of the future. The 99% will have a secure future once this procuction becomes large scale because it will produce a lot of jobs and the wealth is divided among the various companies making the fuel. As for Newt Gingrich when oil runs out, he can trade in his car for one that Fred Flintstone uses. He will not use algae.

  11. What’s happening right now with algae production is that it’s in its infancy stage. All the elements to produce algae fuel are present with the problem of finding a way to efficiently and economically extract the oil from the water. Check out Origin Oil it has come out with an appliance that can efficiently extract the oil without using much energy and chemicals. Again, it’s new and still in experiment but it looks very promising. I wish I had money to invest in this !

  12. Ok, I’m a little bit lost right now. In some part he says that the cost right now for 1 gallon of Algae Bio-fuels cost $10-$60 dollars. But if the cost are too high then why they have all those huge pools and what they do with this fuel that they produce right now? It have to be someone who buy this; in other way they can’t continue their research.

  13. Very educative interview! Thanks!
I keep watching for further technology improvement in this area.
So keep “defactoring” and let me know !
This process sounds the most “clean” alternative to other
    “bio” technologies conflicting with agriculture.
