China forces firms to cut energy use
SHANGHAI (Kyodo) Japanese businesses in China are being severely affected by local orders to reduce electricity use and achieve energy-saving targets, business sources said Thursday. Some of the manufacturers have even been forced to reduce production to meet the energy targets, which were set by the central government in Beijing, the sources said.
