I have a project to do in school about alternative energy. We have to build a model of some sort of energy source. I picked hydrogen fuel car. How should i build one, get a kit, start from scratch, if i start from scratch how can i build it.
(may be broke/outdated!)

do you have $$$? It’ll be expensive!
You’ll need to modify the carburator or fuel injectors to run on hydrogen. You’ll need to modify the timing of the engine, ratarded to about 20*BTDC. You’ll need cooler spark plugs. Your best bet may be finding a self-propel lawnmower, strap a hydro tank to it, and go from there. There are no major engine differences, only fuel delivery differences. See the link to a college project:
You should buy a kit to get the fuel an gears but it works better is you use your own thin but stable wooden base and weels. The weight of it is an issue when it comes to speed. the kit will tell you how ti use the fule cell. you should also put a string on the front to make it go in a strait line.

It might take U a while as it is impossible. U can get it to work a little but U are just ruining on the large battery.
Hydrogen cars are complex and not easy to build without specific technical knowledge.
You will need a source of hydrogen gas, you will need a way to transfer that gas into useful energy.. e.g., momentum to wheels, (I say it this way because it may not be just an engine) and then wheels, etc.
There are two typical designs for hydrogen cars — one with an internal combustion engine that runs on hydrogen (think a typical automobile that runs on hydrogen instead of gasoline) and a fuel cell.
The fuel cell produces electricity directly from turning hydrogen and oxygen into water. The electricity is used to power an electric motor that powers the car.
Both are very complex systems..
Now, the easiest and maybe even cheapest way would be a fuel cell kit. I hate to advocate any commercial source but I have put a link below that is for a fuel cell car kit that is solar powered. The kit costs $140 so it is not cheap. Btw another product in the same online store is just the fuel cell for $70-80. (I only know about the kits because I ran across these several months ago when I was looking for a birthday present for a 13 yr old friend. )
