I came up with an idea, but I’m not sure if it will result in a neutral, positive, or a negative when it comes to harnessing energy.
We have nuclear power plants that create nuclear waste. Because of the nuclear waste, energy ideas are being diverted away from nuclear power. What to do with the nuclear waste is the problem. Well, if nuclear waste is hit with plasma, it turns into molten lava. The problem with creating plasma is that it requires alot of energy too.
So I came up with an idea about using lightning rods to harness lightning(plasma) with a supercharged battery attached, then using the energy in the supercharged battery to recreate the plasma. After using the plasma on the nuclear waste, further untilize the molten lava with a build and precisely measured wall of material that can convert the heat into energy using thermal technology. Molten lava takes a long time to cool. After the molten lava cools, the rock by-product can be used as construction materials.
Harnessing lightning to make the plasma and utilizing thermal technology in conjunction to have clean nuclear energy summarizes the idea. The only way it is even worthwhile is if it were to result in a neutral or positive energy supply.
Is this at all feasible? Why or why not? Cool idea?
