The world needs a new source of energy, an unspillable source.

  1. That is awesome! the wood interior is pretty crazy. The Pininfarina badge looks like something on an Aston Martin.

  2. I can see stuff sliding over from the passenger’s side to under the pedals…. would be the most annoying thing ever.

  3. Yeah cause you don’t wanna face the fact that you were wrong, quit pussying out and admit it.

  4. I think I’ll end this here by saying “Opinions are like assholes…everybody’s got one”…thanks for the personal attacks and name calling.LOL

  5. As someone who made his living as a courier for about 8 years,,,I wish these kind of vehicles had already been around when I was driving. I would typically gas up $40+ dollars in the morning. Easily around $200+ dollars a week in gas expenses every week. With one of these vehicles I could have saved at least a $100 every week in gas and maintenance.
If VIA motors is looking for another test bed for their vehicles,,,they should look to the courier industry. We’d give them a workout!

  6. What you say about CO2 being good for trees & plants is true,,,problem is that mankind tends to cut down more trees than he plants in the ground.

  7. That’s why they’re called theories dumbass, Scientist study present Geological changes and many other variables and can find out what happened hundreds of thousands years ago, i’ll send you the link in a Personal Message since YouTube will not allow links in comment sections.

  8. I know and you were around then and can prove it, right. Point me to something I can read to prove this and what kind of device was used to measure the temperature back then and I might (not likely) consider your point of view.

    Batman :)

  9. In case you didn’t know, at numerous points of Earth’s life span long before the Industrial Age it has been much warmer than it is now, and guess what before the Industrial Age and at that time it was warmer than it is now yet there were no cars no factories not as much Humans so there was little Greenhouse Gases caused by man. How do you explain that? The Earth warms on its own, if you really think its our fault you are as stupid as a bat. Sure we do speed up the process but hell its nature.

  10. Since the beginning of time, the government wants us to think that Global Warming is happening when really it’s just a natural part of Earth’s lifecycle and has been happening for Billions of years.

  11. Are you really that ignorant or can you just not fucking read correctly. I never said anything about Automobile Factories existing thousands of years ago i’m not that fucking stupid. You need to learn a thing or two about Earth’s history. People keep freaking out about all the CO2 in the air saying “Oh pollution this and that”. When really that’s not a bad thing, the increased CO2 in turn lets more Plants and Trees grow which is a good thing. And Earth has been cooling and warming since the

  12. Wow, you really have no clue. Thousands of years ago there wasn’t any automobiles factories and as many people as there is now. Sorry to say my friend but you really need to update your information. This year is the hottest ( not talking about Sports Illustrated cover girls) year on record..LOL. I wish what you are saying was true.

  13. Global Warming is government made propaganda, it is not true at all. You know the world is billions of years old and the Earth’s temperature has changed alot in many ways throughout Earth’s lifespan. It would get colder after time and then warmer and colder and it would be just a pattern happening at certain points. We just happen to be in a warming phase so its not our fault. In a couple thousand years Earth will actually be getting colder. Global Warming is fake dont believe that shit.

  14. The hydrogen economy is a fable. Yes the technology works, yes there are a couple test vehicles running around, but due to costs of necessary hydrogen distribution infrastructure and generation facilities, and MAINLY due to inefficiency of hydrogen generation, hydrogen cars will never be economically feasible on any sort of large scale, let alone global scale. We need to put this pipe dream to rest.

  15. so all others manufacturers are stupid that dont want to do that and tell me then why then Prius does only 70 ?? what some VW diesel get close ??

  16. Extended range is great until hydrogen makes it’s proper production debut, hydrogen/electric powertrains will rule the world. Nice truck.

  17. Germany 7,48$ per gallon. But we have also Healthcare and Education from the Gouvernment “free”. Also such cars are way more expensive in taxes like normal cars.

  18. On their site it says it has a 1500 lb payload. For towing capacity, it simply says “ample”. If it’s under 7,000 lbs, they need to work harder. My 13 year old Ram with 230 hp can tow 7500 lbs, and they claim the electric motor is putting out 402 horses. For most fleets and for casual drivers, it’ll do fine. Anyone who would buy a 2500+ though, this simply isn’t going to work for them.

  19. I agree, with a large 4 cylinder running at slightly higher RPM, it could generate more power with less fuel I believe. In fact there’s probably even better ways to generate power than any gasoline car engine. I’d bet my truck, which is nowhere near as efficient as this (lol), that a 2 liter 4 cyl turbo diesel would generate much more power at lower RPM, therefore costing less to run.

  20. Yeah, it would take a LONG time to make up that cost if this thing costs 75 grand. It should be a failure at anything over 55 grand. Not to mention the fact that electricity isn’t free.

Pininfarina Cambiano Concept Car In Details – Concorso d’Eleganza 2012

Another concept car I saw during the 2012 Concorso d’Eleganza in Cernobbio was the Pininfarina Cambiano. The car is an electric plug-in range extended car and the drive system is constituted by four Magneti Marelli electric engines, one for each wheels. The car has an autonomy, in the urban cycle, of about 200 kms and a total autonomy, in the combined cycle, of 800 kms in range extended. The interiors are really cool. As you can see the floor and a part of the doors are made of wood. The wood is “recycled”: in fact the Rival1920, an Italian manufacturer of wooden furniture, had the genius to recover the wood of European oak piles used to signal the navigation and dock the boats in the lagoon of Venice.
