  1. I just installed 2 of these on my house in Texas today. I bought the units from Costco which were shipped to my house for $350 each. The installation was straight forward and the product seems well made. I’ve been waiting for an inexpensive solar attic fan for years. I love the remote as I check the temp. and humidity often. Thanks for making this great product.

  2. Those are excellent panels, and we install them along with our metal roofing panels, for which they are designed.

  3. Thanks Pete for sending me the video, its actually very cool and is a great idea and seems to be working very well… I think you should keep spreading the word of how great these solar panels work and get noticed, good luck to you- Austin

  4. Very interesting! How many panels would one need to fully cater to a family’s needs, 24.7?, and how long do you think before they become fully cost effective?

  5. great solar panel. mine is 18 inches and sized for my back pack. i tested it on a dead car battery and it charged it by 32% in 2hrs. which was amazing compared to my glass panel ones. mine is made by PowerFilm Solar. i can only imagine how strong it would if longer. great stuff.

  6. Very interesting video. You should try submitting this to the show “Shark Tank” on TV. I’m sure that this would be successful.

  7. Nice work there! keep up the amazing tinkering and being very innovative.

  8. @mixcatcom Great idea I will have to try this out for myself one day

Solar Controller for Solar Powered Attic Fans from US Sunlight Corp.

www.ussunlight.com Power your fan after dark The addition of the Solar Controller with Dual Mode Technology will enable your Solar Powered Attic Fan to run after sunset or when there is no light available from the sun. When there is no sunlight available to power the fan and the Solar Controller has the optional house power connection enabled, the Solar Controller will cycle house electricity for 8 minutes every half-hour in order to power the fan. This will allow your attic temperature to continue to drop after sunset and help remove the hot, stagnant air that can build up on those warm summer evenings. Real-time status updates: The remote control readout on the Solar Controller sends a radio signal through your walls and ceiling to give you a real-time status update on fan operation to let you know if your fan is running and if the power source is from the solar panel or the house electricity. No more questioning if your fan is running! This patent pending, industry-first advancement will give you the peace-of-mind that your fan is functioning and your attic is being ventilated. An intelligent device: The Solar Controller monitors both temperature and humidity optimizing your fans operation for maximum performance in all weather conditions. The Solar Controller intelligently limits the amount of electricity used to power the fan, so it is a perfect alternative to traditional electric powered vents. With the built-in temperature and humidity sensors, the Solar Controller
