That is a very loaded question. Rather than try and get into details Nuclear Fission Energy will have many long term implications, some of which are environmental, economical, political, technological etc.
I’m sure you can find many arguments for all three, but to be honest with you, any implication we think of now many not be applicable as the years go by. The reason for this is because the world is just entering the new nuclear age and because of this their will be many new developments in technology and policies that will solve many of the current issues.
