  1. sucked it up with a straw ?

What would YOU have suggested he, or any other person had they been President do ?

  2. There’s nothing he or anyone else could have done.
He’s not God you know, no matter what he tries to make people believe…

  3. He should have not believed BP when they said there was no leak and sent someone immediately to check.

  4. He should have ordered Navy deep-water submersibles to perform the capping operation.

Protecting the environment is important enough to hobble the American economy with massive new taxes, but we’re finding out that it’s not important enough to mobilize the resources that would have mitigated a huge disaster.

  5. he should have flown over it sooner

at least that is the idea I get after reading a thousand questions here asking why he didn’t ‘respond sooner’

  6. He should gone down to the gulf and parted the waters so the leak could be repaired.

  7. I’m no supporter of President Obama, but there really isn’t anything he could have done. He needed to have the situation assessed, and with variables like the weather and the growing size of the spill, there was no way to get that information fast.
Sorry, I can’t criticize his reaction for this anymore than I can criticize President Bush’s reactions for Katrina or 9-11-01.

  8. Not much he can do, just as Bush could do nothing as Katrina unfolded.
Just hope for all of you in your country that the follow up is in a timley fashion, things seem pretty grim.
    Good Luck.

  9. I love it when any one compares this to Katrina. George Bush was warned 4 days before. Warned by the experts that this could be a Disaster and did nothing. The oil spill disaster, If some thing could have been done Obama would have done it .

What should 0bama have done to minimize the BP oil spill disaster?
