1. Why in the world is there war ? Somethings just shouldnt happen.

2. It should be used for energy. It is also used in medicine (MRI scanners use nuclear energy for example and in physics and engineering they are known as NMR or Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) and science.

   However, you could ask why do people use gunpowder to harm others, it should be used in fireworks. So to truly answer your question it is because it is an extremely effective way to harm people.

3. the others are correct, war is not good but it happens.

   I might add that a nuclear bomb has not been used to harm people since the end of WWII when the US dropped two on Japan.

4. To follow up on previous you may consider that while the US use of Nuclear weapons on japan did harm people, the general consensus among historians is that it brought a quicker end to hostilities and in effect less death/destruction than might otherwise have been the case.

5. Why are people using Nuclear Energy to harm others? Like other energy sources, it can be used as a weapon. Every nation has a military whether you like it or not. And that includes weapons. Weapons are designed to kill people and destroy cities. Not all nations go to war and sometimes military weapons fall into the hands of terrorist, via the black market. Terrorists don’t care if they murder civilians or even their own children. And they will use nuclear weapons in a heart beat.

   Legitimate nations on the other hand will use nuclear weapons as a last resort.

6. Because there are always wolves in the world, looking for new ways to attack their prey. This has been happening since the beginning of recorded history. Someone saw a sharp instrument that they used to break trees and cut up animals and thought, “That guy over there pisses me off and this can cut animals; why can’t it cut him?” The same applies to explosives like gunpowder and nuclear reactions. If it has the power to kill even by accident, it can, and likely will, be turned into a weapon for waging war.

7. we’re working on that its difficult to control but once mankind finds a way to harness its power it will be a form of clean cheap energy :) no doubt we will still use it as a weapon
