  1. The comments are opinions and do not reflect what is being shown on the video.
It appears the person speaking is just trying to create an unknown agenda.

The Logo he is talking about was not being removed in this video.

    Strange

  2. @tonybud2 it hasn’t been classified as a crimescene yet so its lawful as long as they own the thing…

  3. it could be that this is a sticker that might get things hung up when they intend to install the other riser cap..it would be ridiculous to think they would do this on a live feed if there was some intent to HIDE something….but interesting video nonetheless.

  4. Thanks for posting this, David. This is very telling about these companies. They know the power of the brand. I included a link to this in an article I wrote on Smartassism.

  5. hi . i love this movie, try to film more , becouse i think , now the company try to pint white a tube, for no evidence more.

  8. @X2YeZCAMCNC I don’t exactly see how I can see it any other way, really.

  9. WTF?? Are they removing evidence? Is this lawful? They are tampering with a potential crime scene.

  10. @X2YeZCAMCNC Looks good

So there is likely correlation between the flexjoint and the fact the BOP appears to be tilting? If so, maybe BP will be spending some more time with their ROVs around the flexjoint Oil States would rather not have that publicity.

It’s a shame if they did make a fail product – they should be punished for that. Live and learn.

  11. @playa1313 Just added to description all the details. Have a look. Dimension, pressures and weight.

  12. @X2YeZCAMCNC Good… Oil States International Inc

I’ll remember that. You should put it in your title/description if you’ve got the time.

  13. @playa1313 Oil States International Inc FlexJoint is what the logo was on the side of this bellows subsystem on the BOP/LMRP unit on the sea-floor. Stocks in the company plummeted since these images showed up on the live feed. They will start removing logos on everything.

  14. @playa1313 I can’t think of any other reason why they would be doing this.

  15. Pathetic fucking bastards working on removing their damn logo to help their company reputation rather than putting some effort into fixing this damn problem! Shame on them!

I hope this video circulates all over the world and puts shame to this company who likely asked BP to remove their logo in the middle of this crisis

  16. @Hellosaidthemoon Looks like that but not sure. Do you see the same as me? What could possible be the purpose.

  17. what the hell? So they are working on removing logos, but not working on the biggest diaster ever? : | BP is obviously not putting in 100%…

BP Gulf Oil Spill Leak Gusher 06-09-2010 03:46P BOP Subsea FlexJoint Cleaning BS Logo Removed

In this narrated clip the ROV (remotely operated vehicle) is using the wire brush hydraulic tool to believe it or not remove the company logo (Oil States International Inc.- FlexJoint) plastered on the side of a part at the top of the damaged BOP (blowout preventer). Weird I just said that a few hours ago when I saw them getting this tool out, while joking. Don’t they have better things to do. The Subsea FlexJoint® acts as a flexible coupling between the drilling riser and BOP stack. Specs: Water depths up to 12000 feet, Free angular rotation does not exceed ±10°, Working pressures do not exceed 6000 psi, Maximum axial tension requirement is 3500 kips All units share a common configuration consisting of a molded flex element with a customer specified upper connector flange housed in a forged steel body with a steel retainer ring. The flex element is protected from over-extension and tension loading by an internal wear ring. Replaceable upper and lower wear sleeves prevent abrasive damage to the ID of the FlexJoint®. FlexJoint® are constructed of a high-grade steels and selected nitrile elastomers that offer a high resistance to produced hydrocarbons and drilling fluids. Each Subsea FlexJoint® permits cocking displacements up to ±10 degrees. The FlexJoint® height range is from 44.17 to 67.05 inches. The overall height of the unit depends on the end connections selected as well as the pressure rating of the unit. The FlexJoint® housing diameter range is from 47 to 62inches
