You know if an individual ,such as a truck driver, has a acciidental leak of a substance considered to be hazmat..D.O.T will throw the book at them as far as law wise & throw them in jail for a period of time also if there is neglegence shown….We need to throw one of the Head BP’s in jail & have him have to post a HUGE FUNKIN BOND until this is investigated ..

Anyone profiting through petroleum companies should take responsibility and volunteer to help clean up this mess.

   Has I told already before BP is sandblasting the metal pipes, the outcome you should be able to figure out.
   Ig the color of the oil is lighter it is only because they are injecting it with chemicals

12. top kill = Sand blasting the pipes, this will only weaken the pipes.
    BP must be removed and forbid to make more damages.
    Bring all the oil companies in to collect the oil and give the bill to BP, this is the onlyway to contain this catastrophe.
    About sealing the leaks, it is possible to use a supermagnet and iron to magnetize and clog the pipes.
    BP is poring millions of gallons of chemicals to hide the oil
    BP out now before is to late

17. @ubtri If we force the company to make NO PROFIT off of the US for the next TEN YEARS, then the greedy Arabs and Persians will be FORCED to lower their prices dramatically. As a business owner, gas is one of my biggest expenses. The US economy would BOOM as a result of this. But…. an extra ten G’s a month would help even more because people will have more money to spend. We do have to be compensated. We have to demand this. EVERY American would sign this petition!!!

18. FREE UNLIMITED GAS for ALL AMERICANS for TEN YEARS from BP!! We have to demand this!!! Now we will be low on shrimp and they owe us for that. Also, they have been financially RAPING US for years.

19. This top kill and junk shot is all a bunch of hooey. They’re just giving the appearance of doing something to placate the media and the people. Imo, this stuff will not work. I am deeply saddened for all of the innocent life being lost and thoroughly disgusted with BP and their cleanup response. Bunch of careless idiots.

20. BP should be forced to give every American citizen alive $1,000,000 via monthly checks of $10,000 as the form of dispersement. Also they should have an online signup sheet for willing participants to be flown down to help cleanup, while BP also provides room & board at the local hotels & restaurants.

24. @Cypress77 I’m pretty sure BP knows just how bad this spill really is; it will be a problem for decades. Nobody wants to tell the public that good news. That, and they have know idea of how to stop the leak; it is a learn as they go operation. I’d be shitting bricks, too.

    They tried this in Alaska in 1979 , they used the same techniques then… what modifications????? They failed then and they will likely fail again. Poor regulations and short cuts by BP. I hope it works but not likely.
