  1. It’s about having the brains to figure out that religion is a hoax. Invented by man to control the masses.

  2. He is fake. We have not been badly influenced, we just think about things with more common sense.

  3. It’s because the concept of a god is stupid beyond belief. Grow up already.

  4. Sir. Please accept the fact that your words sound like the product of a delusional mind.

It is delusional to believe that there is a mystical being that intervenes with everything.

  5. Silly christian
the reason some people athiests is because they haven’t been brainwashed.

    peace

  6. I’m an Atheist because god isn’t real. Not because I’ve been wronged by Christians. The preachers in T.V. make me sick.

  7. The Bible says it is all about Jesus Christ, my friend…………..

As Christians, we need to continue to spread the gospel everywhere we go……….that ‘some’ might be saved…………..

    God Bless…………………..

  8. I find it endlessly amusing that theists assume just because I don’t believe in god that something is wrong with me, or that I’m somehow lashing out as a reaction to being molested or some other kind of retarded thing like that. It is really so hard to accept that I concluded on my own that there’s either no god at all or that I don’t need god to give my life meaning?

  9. yeahim not athiest but im not a chirstian and my problem with christianity is all the contradictions. i could show you on this answer but i’ll just give you a link to site that will show you for me this will be less work for me and save room on your answer page.

  10. I think it’s inevitable for any intelligent person to get tired of religion at some point. But I think athiests are stupid because they stop there instead of trying to figure out God through their world. God’s different for everyone. You have to figure it out for yourself instead of have people tell you what to think. But it’s asinine to look at this universe and then say there’s no God.

  11. I just don’t believe in any religion because there are far too many. And I’m positive that every religion cannot possibly be “correct” or “real”. Too often I see ones religion decided simply because of a geographical location, or a cultural difference. I notice how religions historically divide people, rather than bringing people together for a common cause. It seems that every last religion politics to the dying end that their religion is in fact the ultimate, and correct one. That is absolutely absurd to me.

You don’t need to believe in “magic” to have morals and principles. All of the religious books can be interpreted as parables and fables, but of course people are afraid of the unknown, so they take these teachings literally and as fact.

“I’m more science than faith. I’m more karma than bread and booze.” -Aesop Rock.

  12. I admire your strong faith in God, despite of all the negativity. I don’t believe in God, yet I truly honor your spirit in your religion. To me, God may exist, but I certainly do not believe him as a creator. In contrast, I believe in people’s hearts.

The perseverance that people have in their faith touches me. I believe that it is what miracles happen. Because people have such strong faith in God, it makes miracles happen, but not God who answers the prayer.

People do not know how powerful they are but rather believe that there is mighty someone out there with much higher power. The power of hearts and spirit directs the force to make things happen. When you have such a strong faith in God, your energy of faith connects to wherever you want it to be. God, in another word, is just a springboard to connect your inner self.

The reasons why I don’t believe in God are conflicts and contradictions in reality and the belief. it’s just me, but I am sure the people who have such strong faith have their reasons to believe so.

    We are all just different.

  13. Hidden agendas, corrupt preachers, and egos. You are so naive.

Spirituality is a personal matter. One that should be taken seriously. I am blown away that there are people who actually believe they can be enlightened by watching a TV evangelist thump a bible.

  14. Now, see this is a question of substance=) I know theres plenty of speculation as to why someone stops believing in God, “something must have happened to them”, I was raised in a Christian home, we didn’t go to church but I was taught by my parents the teachings of bible. I didn’t become an atheist until I was 25 years old. Im not going to say nothing happened to me, because something significant happens in everyones life at one point or another. But nothing happened that made me angry with God. Like I said before I was raised in a christian home but didn’t go to church and that is how I lived as adult, I prayed at night, I wore a cross, but that’s about it. It was basically just me and my faith.

I was in college at the time, a good friend of mine and I got into a conversation about religion or lack there of. He and I then went on a research frenzy collecting not only evidence the Christian bible wasn’t the first time we heard the story of Jesus, we read about religions that existed hundreds of years before Jesus’ birth, that told the exact same story, basically the only thing different are the names. But Scientific facts regarding time lines, etc. were also very compelling evidence for me, that the story was fictional. Mary and Joseph were on there way to sign the census in Bethlehem, when Jesus was born, so why isn’t his name on any Census? There were many other bits of evidence that just slowly broke the story down completely (for me).

I am not going to tell you I was happy, when I realized that God was in all probability fictional, I was devastated. This was a story I believed my whole life, my parents taught me.

So I was hit with it, “there is no life after death”, that’s a scary concept in itself because life is too short as is. “No one is watching over me, keeping me save from harm”, a lonely feeling. I wasn’t very angry, but I did have feelings of betrayal.

But all of those feelings went away after about a day or two. Realizing that this is most likely the only shot I’m going to have on earth, I try utilize my time with my husband and children. I follow my own set of moral standards that best serves my family and my fellow man.

I am not an evil-doer nor am I running the streets screaming anarchy. I think alot of the misconceptions about atheism, is partically because the few really loud, attention seeking fanatics. The other is probably the “teenage rebellion atheist”, the “Im gonna be a rebel and say im an atheist and write 666 on my notebook, so I can be unique and cool” .

I am glad that you are so devout and want to help others, its an admirable trait. But you must understand, most atheists feel as strongly about our position as you do about yours. What we can do is ignore, offensive sterotypes that have been made on both sides, and try to understand eachothers position, or at least come to respect eachother’s position and stop all the arguing, it’s not serving any purpose but to bring out the worst in people.

What is it all about?

I see so many people out here who claim to be atheists and I wonder whether it is because you have had a problem with someone who was important to you, who was religious, and you decided “they are fake so Christianity must be fake.”

I have to tell you, there are alot of people who go to church who are tough to deal with. We see their stories in the news, all the time. Catholic priests who sexually abused their people, Preachers that run away with their secretaries, church people that steal money, etc. And I have tried to fit in at church and found it was somewhat like a puppy going to the food bowl which was surrounded by a group of large dogs. It’s not fun. And, preachers that seem more interested in your money than you. It just goes on and on. But, it’s not about them, it’s about Jesus and I would like to encourage you to try another church, find another friend, do whatever you can to get past all that you have experienced and start fresh with God.

If you can’t go to church, watch the preachers on T.V. men like Billy Graham, Charles Stanley, Joel and women like Joyce Meyer.

I think this verse is for you;

Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Atheists, Christ died for us.

He’s waiting for you, too.
